If you want to make a bevel joint with a really neat finish, cover the sawing lines with a strip of masking tape. That will reduce splintering of the material and give you a cleaner and straighter cut.


If you want to make a neatly finished angled joint between two pieces of wood, you need to bevel the two ends to be joined.

    If the saw sticks frequently, rub the end of a candle over the saw blade. The candle wax will allow you to saw smoothly.
